Martha Stewart is Hosting Her First-Ever Tag Sale

Martha Stewart is pulling a Marie Kondo: This weekend, April 23 and 24, Stewart is hosting the “Great American Tag Sale” at her farm in Bedford, New York, to offload “a curated selection of items… including furniture, tableware, art, linens, clothing, plants, decorations, holiday, kitchen and more,” according to the sale’s website.

Tickets to the event range from $25 to $250 and all proceeds benefit Mt. Sinai’s Martha Stewart Centers for Living, which offer primary care for geriatric patients. Consider it not only access to the sale (which will not be available online), but also a behind-the-scenes peek at the lifestyle mogul’s famed 153-acre estate. A shuttle bus will run from the John Jay Homestead at 400 Jay St. in Katonah, New York, which is about an hour’s drive from Manhattan, to her estate.

Some sleuthing on Stewart’s Instagram reveals rows of wicker, lamps, outdoor furniture, jadeite glass, heaps of mixing bowls, and enough dinnerware for a (chic) small army. What not to expect at the sale? Curtains, which Stewart recently revealed she does not use, favoring valances, shades, and blinds instead. It is also not confirmed if Stewart herself will be there to oversee the proceedings—even a celebrity probably doesn’t love the idea of watching strangers evaluate her things.

The sale is first come, first serve until everything is sold out. “Please come, contribute, and BUY! We want no leftovers!” says Stewart.
