Carver schools to host Manufacturing Engineering and Technology Student Showcase

In partnership with MassHire Department of Career Services, MassMEP and Flexo Concepts, Carver Public Schools will host the first Manufacturing Engineering and Technology (MET) Student Showcase for southeastern Massachusetts from 3-5 p.m. May 5, at Carver Middle High School, 60 South Meadow Road, Carver.

Carver Public Schools will host the first Manufacturing Engineering and Technology (MET) Student Showcase for southeastern Massachusetts from 3-5 p.m. May 5, at Carver Middle High School, 60 South Meadow Road, Carver.

The Carver MET program is an Innovation Pathway as designated by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. As the only advanced manufacturing designee on the South Shore, this Innovation Pathway aims to prepare students for the regional workforce or post-secondary schooling. The MET Innovation Pathway provides broad industry exploration, along with technical and advanced coursework, as well as focusing on employability skills, industry credentials, and application of technical skills that support career pipelines.

The program provides students with opportunities to develop highly marketable skills including: Computer Aided Design, CNC Milling, Programming (including Python), Design Engineering, and Robotics. Additionally students will leave with their OnShape Associates and OSHA 10 certifications.
